Who can enter the fablab?
Everyone, with the exception of children under the age of 14, who must be accompanied by an adult. If you are under the age of 18, your parents must sign the membership form.
How to become a member?
Everyone who wants to work in the fablab has to do an introductory course.
The course takes place in the fablab, the dates are in the calendar.
After the introductory course, you can work in the fablab.
What am I allowed to do with fablab?
Anything you want, as long as the safety of the people present is not endangered, or your work does not interfere with other people. It is also forbidden to make weapons.
How much do I have to pay?
You have to pay for the membership, the use of the machines and the consumables. Students of unibz are exempt from the membership fee.
Short membership (2 months): 20€
Regular membership (1 year): 60€
Sponsoring membership (1 year): 120€
Students: 0€
The consumables depend on type and quantity, plus a small fee for the use of the machine: read more>>
Please note: at fablab you can only pay with an ATM!
How can I register for a course/workshop?
1. Go to the course or calendar page.
2. Choose a course/workshop you would like to attend.
3. Fill in the form where you enter the name of the course/workshop and the date you want to attend the course/workshop.

I am a teacher, can I come with my students?
We offer a general guided tour of the fablab for schools.
If you would like to do a workshop with your students in the fablab, please contact us. The best way to do this is to send us an e-mail to: bitzfablab@unibz.it
Is it possible to borrow tools?
Members may borrow tools and hand machines for 2 weeks.
I need something, can you do that for me?
No, we are not a service facility.
We can advise you and show you how to do something, we are happy to help you, but you have to do it yourself.
Is there a service facility for 3D printing or laser cutting?
The fablab does not provide a service such as printing 3D parts. If you cannot do this yourself, we recommend that you contact the MAKERSPACE in the NOI-Tech park: NOI Techpark – Makerspace
I am not a member, can I still attend a workshop?
Yes, workshops are open to everyone. However, you must register in advance via the course page.
Can I bring my own consumables?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own consumables. Please note that our machines are not suitable for all materials. For example, it is not possible to laser PVC, as toxic fumes can be produced. It is best to check with us whether your material is compatible with the machine.
I am an employee of unibz do I have to pay membership?
If you want to do something for yourself privately, you have to be a member.
If you need to do something for unibz, you don’t need to be a member. In any case, you should have attended the introductory course. If you haven’t, we will have to accompany you while you work.
